The most immediate effect of these chemicals on the smoker is to cause mild feelings of relaxation, euphoria, tension and sickness. The outcomes of the smoking are highly shocking. Smoking is the main cause for lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease inclusive of chronic bronchitis as well. All forms of tobacco increase the risk of heart attacks. Smoking, chewing tobacco and being exposed to secondhand smoke largely responsible for causing the heart stroke. Those who reduce the smoking are eliminating the dangerous effect of heart attack. The governments of all the countries in the world are collectively run the campaign to develop the awareness among their people through various media and warnings and that really started affecting positively. Many people have stopped smoking but they have opted to other ways to provide the required quota of nicotine to the body. There are nicotine patches available in the market, just stick that on the body and the body would absorb the required quota of nicotine through that and the urge of the smokers is satisfied without smoking. There are pills, chewable tablets and nicotine chewing gums also available to reduce the urge of smoking. These types of substitutes act to calm down the wish to smoke and gradually people tend to quit smoking forever. Many other anti smoking products claim that it would help to quit smoking guaranteed but it all depends on the smokers whether they accept these products. Sometimes anti-depressant drugs help in withdrawing the smoking habit as they play significant role in reducing the mental strain. With the elimination of mental tension the urge of smoking is being reduced remarkably. Many times smokers decide to continue smoking due the late effects of the expensive treatment. If the treatment is the right cure, many other smokers would be attracted to it. Unless the smoker realizes the dangerous consequences, it would be very difficult for him to quit smoking. The quit smoking campaigns should be made more effective so that majority smokers are take the greater benefits out of it.
